Principal's message
Balmain Campus provides a supportive environment. Our students respect themselves, others and the community and are responsible, productive learners. I look forward to you becoming a part of this collaborative partnership. Parents at the school are also our partners in education. With a very proactive parent body, I encourage new parents to become involved in the Parents and Citizens Association and the many school activities organised by staff and parents to ensure the school community continues to grow and provide for our students.
The school’s facilities for teaching and learning, technology support, performing arts and sport cater for all learners. Teachers are highly qualified and actively engage in a wide range of extracurricular activities to ensure our curriculum is diverse and engaging. Strong student voice is maintained in our school with our students participating in the many leadership opportunities offered throughout the year. Eight School Leaders are appointed every year to lead and manage these opportunities.
I encourage every student to make a real and individual commitment to learning which will produce the personal excellence towards which we are aiming. I hope they will take advantage of the opportunities that are on offer at Sydney Secondary College Balmain and will grow into future focused learners.
