About our college
Sydney Secondary College brings together campuses at Leichhardt, Balmain and Blackwattle Bay to offer a rich and diverse learning environment. Leichhardt campus and Balmain campus provide schooling for students from years 7 to 10, offering high expectations, personalised learning pathways, and a strong sense of belonging. In years 11 and 12 students from both Leichhardt and Balmain campuses join together at Blackwattle Bay campus, with its broad curriculum and links to TAFE and universities.
Our teachers work collaboratively across campuses to deliver consistent, evidence-based teaching and to build a culture of continuous improvement. Students benefit from a broader range of opportunities, shared resources, and specialist programs that may not be available at a single school. Our college model ensures that learning is responsive, inclusive and aligned to individual student needs.

Our college delivers excellence in education under the motto: quality, opportunity and diversity. A skilled leadership team of four Principals, seven Deputy Principals, and 35 Head Teachers guide over 240 specialist teachers and support staff.
We are committed to providing students with opportunities to explore and develop their talents through diverse curriculum options.
Our strength lies in strong educational leadership and the collaboration of students from diverse backgrounds across selective, enrichment, mainstream and special education programs. We take pride in their academic, cultural and sporting achievements."
